New Role for Aidan Turner in Robert D. Krzykowski Indie Film

We were hoping for news of a new project for Aidan when he said in an interview this spring that he “may try to fit something in” during his hiatus from Poldark. Now we know that he does indeed have plans to “fit something in”.

According to Aidan Turner’s agency, Lisa Richards Agency, Aidan will be filming a new independent film produced by Robert D. Krzykowski this August. Aidan will play the role of “Barr” in the project (assumed to be ‘The Man Who Killed Hitler And Then The Bigfoot’) that will be released in 2018.

Filming is scheduled for August 2017 on “East Coast of US”.

*Edited to add..Sam Elliott, John Sayles On ‘The Man Who Killed Hitler And Then The Bigfoot’
“It looks like this is the film, however Sam Elliot is listed as playing “Barr”:
It’s a curious title and a bit of a mouthful, but John Sayles is exec producing and Sam Elliott has come aboard to star in writer/director Robert Krzykowski’s The Man Who Killed Hitler and then The Bigfoot. The story follows a legendary American war veteran named Calvin Barr (Elliott) who, decades after serving in WWII and assassinating Adolf Hitler, must now hunt down the fabled Bigfoot. Living a peaceful life in New England, the former veteran is contacted by the FBI and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police to lead the charge as the creature is carrying a deadly plague and is hidden deep inside the Canadian wilderness.”

Krzykowski will also produce with Lucky McKee, Patrick Ewald and Shaked Berenson. It marks his feature directorial debut (he had directed a short previously). Award-winning indie filmmaker John Sayles is executive producing the feature.

Krzykowski is best known for his 2011 release, “The Woman”, which was about a crazed family man who captures a feral women and subjects her to abuse in an attempt to ‘civilise’ her.

In the meantime we are still waiting for Aidan’s last indie film, “Look Away” to be released. The director promises that there will be screenings (possibly in New York) soon! We will keep you posted.
